Nineteen local teams are still alive in the high school football playoffs, and 11 of them are in action Friday night as the Maryland state semifinals and Virginia region semifinals kickoff under the lights. The other six games involving local squads are Saturday matinees.

As always, the AllMetSports crew has you covered, with reporters on the sidelines of most of this weekend’s playoff action. Follow along here for live scoring updates all through the night Friday and during the afternoon Saturday.

Friday, we have reporters at a pair of Maryland 4A semifinals as Annapolis travels to Quince Orchard and Wise hosts Howard in a rematch of last year’s title game. We’re in Damascus for a 3A semifinal between the unbeaten Swarmin’ Hornets and Potomac (Md.); and we’re back in Prince Frederick for a 2A semifinal between Elkton and Calvert. In the Commonwealth, we’re in Purcellville, where Woodgrove looks to remain perfect as it hosts Dominion in a 4A West region semifinal.

Saturday, we’ll be at the DC State Athletic Association Class A title game between unbeaten Maret and Theodore Roosevelt; Virginia 6A North region semifinals pitting Westfield against Madison and South Lakes against Lake Braddock; and a 5A North region semifinal between Stone Bridge and Massaponax.

Here’s the full scoreboard. Follow us on Twitter at @allmetsports for updates and scores from all over the region. And view Saturday’s schedule here.
