Lytton said after the Pumas won their third straight Maryland 4A state championship Friday that he would consider other college football programs that came calling, following Fisher’s departure. Alabama defensive backs coach Derrick Ansley visited Lytton during Wise’s state quarterfinal playoff game against Eleanor Roosevelt and again during the championship game.
Florida State hired Oregon coach Willie Taggart on Tuesday, and he retained defensive tackles coach and former associate head coach Odell Haggins, who was key to Lytton’s recruitment. Lytton, in turn, stood by Florida State.
Regardless, Lytton said he will sign his National Letter of Intent on National Signing Day in February.
