David Shuster and Kera Rennert (Mark Nelson Photography)

For David Shuster, 2010 was a very bad year: The rising cable-news star had a major falling-out with MSNBC bosses that forced him off the air; at the same time his marriage was falling apart. So those of you who enjoy been-knocked-down-but-I-get-up-again story will enjoy On Love columnist Ellen McCarthy’s article about his recent wedding to Kera Rennert, a childhood acquaintance from summer camp he reconnected with just 15 months ago; they are already expecting their first child. “When I think about where my life was a few years ago or just how sad I was,” Shuster tells McCarthy, “I didn’t think that life would come back together quite as quickly.”
