Quoted: Chris Brown on his domestic violence history

“I did my 52 weeks of counseling and LEARNED that it was ABSOLUTELY WRONG!”

Chris Brown on the “Today” show explaining why fans can be confident that he will never beat up Rihanna or any other woman again. What was that counseling like? “Every Monday in Virginia, I remember sitting in there going just, like, yo, why did I do what I did. And just wanting to get help, you know?” (This counseling was apparently separate from the court-ordered community service he was ordered to do in Virginia, which L.A. prosecutors now allege he never actually completed.) In his interview with Matt Lauer promoting a new album, the singer said a lot of things about “moving forward,” “inspiring the world,” “being a man,” and how “the naysayers are going to have their opnions.”
