Kass revealed Tuesday during an interview with food reporters that he is one of the staffers who will lose several days of work, reports AP, as part of the sweeping budget cuts that come with the sequester.

Kass, who worked for the Obamas in Chicago as a private chef, joined the White House staff under Executive Chef Cristeta Comerford in 2009 and serves as a point person on healthy eating iniatives, often accompanying the first lady in her public events crusading against childhood obesity. He said that work won’t be affected.
