Bjarke Ingels on the Smithsonian Castle. The superstar Danish architect has been hired to rethink landscaping and access for several of the Smithsonian’s buildings on the Mall, and he shared particularly sharp words with Architectural Record about the castle — mostly used, he said, as a tourist rest stop. But it’s “the only building that pokes into the axis of the Mall, so in that sense, there is a great potential. . .
