Tuesday had to be exhausting for the first lady, so maybe it’s not surprising that she dined out that night and lingered more than two hours over her meal. Not long after her surprising clash with a gay-rights heckler at a Kalorama fundraiser — one of three DNC fundraisers on her schedule that day — Michelle Obama dropped in on nearby Rasika West End and stayed until about 10 p.m. Just one other guest with her; unclear whether it was a friend or colleague. The first lady has dined at least a couple times at the high-end Indian restaurant’s other location in Penn Quarter.
