You cannot top George H.W. Bush’s birthday socks

On the occasion of George H.W. Bush’s birthday — he turns 89 today — his presidential library urged fans to submit photos of themselves wearing wacky socks, in tribute to the man’s preppy vanguard style. Condi Rice donned American flag socks, Nancy Pelosi rocked a pastel rainbow style, Mitt Romney busted out a photo of himself comparing his modestly-striped socks with the former president’s extravagantly color-blocked. . . But none could compare to Bush’s latest footwear, unveiled in a photo released by his office today: Superman socks. Yeah!
