Also in The Washington Post:

— Oh no! Is J.J. going off to live on a farm? Georgetown University announced that the “exciting and hectic” life of a campus sports icon doesn’t seem to be working out for J.J., the darling bulldog who replaced longtime mascot Jack (after a troublesome ACL sent him into retirement). Our colleague Dan Steinberg has the basic details, but look for more soon from the Style section.Update: Sounds like there was some naughty behavior involved. Georgetown benches J.J. the bulldog, its young mascot-in-training
(Earlier: Georgetown’s mascot-in-training, Jack Junior, ready for Midnight Madness debut, 10/11/12)

— Midway through the Obama years, it’s time for another check on who the major power couples are in the administration, courtesy of our In the Loop colleagues.

— What is up with all the Redskins wearing bucket hats these days? Our colleague Sarah Kogod reports that DeAngelo Hall started it, and then all the defensive backs had to get one too, and now it’s spread to, like, the entire team! There’s a lot of talk about keeping sun out of their eyes and D.C. traditions, but really, sounds like the fashion dynamic you remember from middle school.
