Bass engaged

Lance Bass on Sunday told US Weekly of his engagement to Michael Turchin, his boyfriend of two years. On his Instagram account, the singer published a picture of Turchin wearing a black diamond band. “He said YES!! Love this man,” said Bass, 34. The news comes a week after Bass reunited with Justin Timberlake and the rest of his former ’N Sync band mates at the 2013 MTV Video Music Awards.

Captain Clooney

George Clooney was reported to Venice police after the Oscar-winning actor took the helm of a water taxi while attending the Venice Film Festival. The New Age Online reports that Clooney, 52, last week navigated the taxi through the Venice lagoon, which may or may not have been legal. Local resident Mario D’Elia filed an official complaint to the city’s police department. Clooney was in Venice to promote his new film, “Gravity,” which co-stars Sandra Bullock. The Venice Film Festival runs until Sept. 7.

Big wheel Beyonce

Beyonce apparently caused a couple to get stuck on a Ferris wheel. Cosmopolitian magazine reports that Beyonce, 31, was shooting a music video last week at the amusement park Luna Park in New York’s Coney Island section and decided to include the Wonder Wheel. But a couple was kept on the ride while the “Crazy in Love” singer spent a half-hour filming. Yes, the couple reportedly was let down after Beyonce was done.
