Alec Ross (The Washington Post)

As we await the first wave of Obama administration memoirs (David Axelrod, Tim Geithner and Hillary Clinton all have 2014 books in the works), the next layer of top aides is beginning to sign deals. Simon & Schuster announced that Alec Ross — the former State Department senior adviser for innovation and veteran of many of those 40-under-40 and “important thinkers” lists — will pen a tome on the future of globalization, using his experience as Clinton’s tech guru as his lens. It’s due out in 2015.
