The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame nominees are all over the place this year, with Linda Ronstadt, Peter Gabriel (both first-timers) and Cat Stevens on the list, joined by KISS, Nirvana, LL Cool J and others; start those bets, because inductees will be named soon. (AP)

Ohh, this is going to be good. Casting is being completed for the Lance Armstrong biopic, based on journalist David Walsh’s book “Seven Deadly Sins: My Pursuit Of Lance Armstrong.”  Ben Foster, an actor mostly known for his work in independent film,  is reportedly set to play Armstrong, while Chris O’Dowd (“Bridesmaids,” “Girls”) will portray Walsh. After being off the radar for awhile, troubled “OC” star Mischa Barton, 27, submits to a People cover story about her “terrifying” breakdown over the past few years, including a stay in a psychiatric ward. (People)

Cal Ripken’s 75-year-old mother fought off a carjacker in Aberdeen yesterday, according to police. This is more than a year after she was abducted from her house (but returned home safely hours later), which authorities still haven’t solved. (The Post)
