The host of the show no one was really watching has been pulled off the air. MSNBC suspended Alec Baldwin’s low-rated talk show for two weeks shortly after the volatile actor was captured on video screaming at paparazzi — and apparently using a homophobic slur. “I did not intend to hurt or offend anyone with my choice of words, but clearly I have — and for that I am deeply sorry,” Baldwin said on MSNBC’s Web site Friday. In a Huffington Post blog entry over the weekend, he denied using the slur and threatened to quit show biz to keep photographers from harassing his family. As for his future on MSNBC, he said: “If the show dies, its fate ends up being no different than the vast majority of start-up TV programming, and so be it.”
