Divorcing: Khloe Kardashian and Lamar Odom, reports E! News. Rumors of a split have been rampant since this summer, when reports emerged that Odom allegedly struggled with drug addiction (which he denied). Tabloids have obsessively covered the reality show couple’s rocky year: In August, the NBA star, 34, was pulled over for suspicion of driving under the influence. Shortly after, he reportedly entered rehab for a day before leaving. Earlier this week, Odom struck a plea deal in the DUI case; Kardashian, 29, officially filed for divorce on Friday. TMZ posted the court papers, which cite irreconcilable differences.

As reality TV viewers may recall, the couple tied the knot in 2009 after dating for a month, with much skepticism from Kardashian’s family. All the drama was chronicled on their E! reality empire, as well as spin-off “Khloe & Lamar,” which lasted two seasons. Odom – who has openly talked about his difficult childhood  – was generally seen gamely putting up with his in-laws’ camera-loving antics.

Viewers curious for more details won’t have to wait long: a new season of “Keeping Up With the Kardashians” starts in January.
