Of course Tareq Salahi is running for Congress. The other half of the White House state dinner crashing couple sent out a statement Tuesday just hours after Virginia’s Rep. Frank Wolf announced he was retiring.

This comes, of course, on the heels of ex-wife Michaele Salahi’s wedding Sunday to Journey guitarist Neal Schon. Despite a failed write-in campaign for Virginia governor this year, Salahi jumped at the opportunity to seek Wolf’s 10th Congressional District seat. “My political goals are sincere and motivated by a desire to once again serve the hard-working people of Virginia and genuinely represent them, their values, their concerns and their needs,” said Salahi in a statement.

But if this politics thing doesn’t work out, there’s his new entertainment company which offers clients the chance to hire Salahi to “crash” their events or travel along with him at a polo game or wine tasting to “enjoy the expertise” when it comes to wine, food and travel.
