Greetings, Reliable Source readers! We’re Emily Heil and Helena Andrews, the new team helming the column and blog.

We’re looking forward to bringing you that dose of gossip to leaven the day’s news  — and we’ll be introducing you to the power players and personalities from all corners of the city who make Washington so fascinating.

A bit about us: Emily has been working with Al Kamen on the Post’s In the Loop column for the last two years, and previous gigs included penning the “Heard on the Hill” gossip column for Roll Call newspaper.

Helena’s no stranger to covering Washington’s glitziest denizens, either, having grilled folks on many a red carpet during her stint at Politico. She’s also freelanced for the Root and written a book about her D.C. adventures.

But enough about us — we want to hear about you. What you want to know? What flavors of gossip do you crave? Which VIP do you want the skinny on?

And we also want to know what you know. Be a Reliable Source tipster, and share your celebrity sightings and dish. Just email us at reliablesource@washpost.com. We’re listening.
