Social media darling  George Takei isn’t just about cat memes and activism — he also likes gelato!

The former “Star Trek” actor beamed into the Fells Point branch of Pitango Gelato on Saturday, where he ordered a Chocolate Noir sorbet and gamely posed for pics with employees, a manager tells us.

He was in Charm City to narrate the Baltimore Symphony Orchestra’s “Sci-Fi Spectacular.”

Why aren’t we surprised that Takei, whose online persona mixes topical humor with his activism, is just as adorable IRL?
