Attention all traffic jams: D.C. council member Marion Barry is not here for you. In a Tuesday morning tweet punctuated with exclamation points and all caps, the Ward 8 representative bemoaned the presidential motorcade and all the headaches that follow.

“This is excessive!!” blasted Barry to his 11,700 followers at 10.15 a.m. According to President Obama’s daily schedule, he was due to arrive at Powell Elementary School in Petworth at 11:10 a.m. Powell is about three miles from the White House, a 10-15 minute straight shot up 16th Street according to the all-knowing Google.
