Be Joe Biden’s neighbor for $4.5 million

Ever dream of flipping burgers in the back yard with the Biden family? Maybe you can imagine you and Joe washing your Trans Ams together in the driveway?

Being nabes with the second family is now within reach, at least for some: The house next to the vice president’s residence in Observatory Circle is on the market for the first time in more than half a century. The 10,000 square foot Mediterranean-style mansion at 3400 Massachusetts Ave. NW is listed at $4.5 million.

The house needs some updating, says listing agent Teri Robinson of Long & Foster, hence its relatively “amazing price.” The home was built in 1926 by beer baron Christian Heurich as a gift to his son (thanks, Dad!), and was the longtime home of noted ophthalmologist Marshall Parks, who died in 2005.

And if the Bidens are busy, the other neighbors seem pretty fun, too — the Clintons live just down the street, and the Vatican Embassy is nearby.

Imagine that block party.
