The team made no trips to the NCAA tournament during that period, but winning isn’t everything. The secretary still called his Harvard basketball days “an amazing, transformative life experience.”
One thing the secretary did want to do that the current Crimson team has done again and again over the last four years:
“They won an Ivy League championship, something I desperately wanted to do and never got it done,” said Duncan in an interview with the university.
He went on anyway to play for four years in Australia’s National Basketball League. And these days he’s dominating the court at the annual NBA All-Star Celebrity Game and as a member of the unofficial West Wing basketball posse.
