They may be rivals someday for the 2016 GOP presidential nomination, but for now, all’s sunny between New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie and Wisconsin Gov. Scott Walker.

Christie penned a very complimentary tribute to his buddy up north for TIME magazine’s TIME 100, the annual list of the most influential people in the world. “His reforms have brought tax reductions to his citizens and economic growth to his state,” Christie wrote of Walker. “They have made Wisconsin a better place to live and work.”

Hm, sounds like Walker might want to hang onto that for a future campaign ad.

In the magazine, out on Friday, prominent folks wax eloquent about other prominent folks on the list. This year’s lineup has Karl Rove paying tribute to the Koch brothers, Al Gore praising enviro Tom Steyer, Civil rights hero and Georgia congressman Rep. John Lewis on Attorney General Eric Holder, and German tech activist Domscheit-Berg on exiled NSA leaker Edward Snowden.
