Hey isn’t that … Foo Fighter Dave Grohl and his bandmate, drummer Taylor Hawkins, gearing up for their surprise show at the 9:30 Club on Tuesday night with lunch at Old Ebbitt Grill.

Our tipster tells us that Grohl, a Virginia native, was dressed in the punk uniform of jeans and T-shirt. He sat with eight friends while Taylor and his wife, Alison, dined at a separate table.

Grohl, says our spy, ordered a spicy “Bloody Maryland” and the double crab cakes (one fan sent a shot of Jagermeister) while Taylor had cheeseburger and a Miller Lite.  The cool crowd hung out for more than two hours and took photos with fans on their way out.
