Jay Carney toasts Brendan Buck, departing Boehner staffer

Hey, isn’t that … White House press secretary Jay Carney, dropping by the Monday send-off happy hour for Brendan Buck, the flack for House Speaker John Boehner who’s leaving the Hill for the private sector?

Carney and Buck have often been on the opposite sides of issues, but they were, at least, on the same side of the bar at downtown watering hole P.J. Clarke’s, along with a crowd of Hill reporters and staffers.

Buck is off to head up the communications shop at the America’s Health Insurance Programs.
