Takei, who’s in town for the next few days making appearances for AARP, attended the show with a male friend, and both were seen giving their stamp of approval at curtain call with a standing ovation. According to the theater’s records, Wednesday night’s performance wasn’t the 77-year-old actor’s first trip to the playhouse on 14th Street NW. In 2006, Takei saw “Fat Pig” by playwright Neil LaBute.
