Hey, isn’t that…”Star Trek” alum George Takei at the Studio Theatre in Logan Circle on Wednesday checking out the Washington premiere of “Cock,” a play about a love triangle by British playwright Mike Barlett. Our tipster spotted the actor at the theater’s will call, carefully spelling out his famous last name letter by letter.

Takei, who’s in town for the next few days making appearances for AARP, attended the show with a male friend, and both were seen giving their stamp of approval at curtain call with a standing ovation. According to the theater’s records, Wednesday night’s performance wasn’t the 77-year-old actor’s first trip to the playhouse on 14th Street NW. In 2006, Takei saw “Fat Pig” by playwright Neil LaBute.
