House Majority Leader Kevin McCarthy just can’t resist a good sale

Hey isn’t that… House Majority Leader Rep. Kevin McCarthy (R-Calif.) taking advantage of the men’s half yearly sale at the Nordstrom in Pentagon City on Saturday afternoon?

Our tipster tells us that the newly minted No. 2 House Republican perused the socks and ties without notice from fellow bargain hunters. No word whether they were red or blue.

We called the men’s department to get a sense of McCarthy’s personal style, and an extremely busy store clerk told us that the congressman “came in and bought two suits.” Then the clerk hung up.

So is McCarthy gearing up (literally) for his new gig?
