R&B singer Chris Brown has woven himself an even bigger legal web since last October, when he allegedly punched a fan outside a posh D.C. hotel.

The crooner has spent more than half of the past eight months in rehab and prison, for actions that, according to authorities, include punching the window out of his mother’s car and threatening gun use at a California rehab center. His bicoastal legal woes have even landed him a cross-country flight in the custody of U.S. marshals.

Breezy heads to back to court Wednesday in Washington for his misdemeanor assault case. It seems the singer is trying to put his D.C. misstep behind him; he’s said to be in plea talks with District prosecutors, reports the Post’s Keith Alexander. If no deal is reached, of course, the case will head to trial.

Brown’s legal troubles are further complicated by his probation stemming from the Grammy winner’s 2009 assault of then-girlfriend Rihanna.

Just so we’re all on the same page, we’ve made you a handy video timeline of Breezy’s recent run-ins with the law. Take a look!
