If you’re like us when you heard the news that Olivia Pope (known off-screen as actress Kerry Washington) was designing a line inspired by her hit ABC poli-soap “Scandal” for The Limited your first reaction was, “The Limited? That place still exists?”
Yes, just like bourbon chicken and kiosks selling fake pony tails, The Limited is still a stalwart of American mall culture. And now the tweet-worthy outfits of “Scandal” can be a part of the same.
In a statement released Wednesday, Washington, who’ll be co-creating the line with the show’s costume designer Lyn Paolo and Limited’s head of design Elliot Staples, said the collection was “a nod to our devoted fans, to fans of fashion and to women everywhere who are inspired to boldly pursue their passions and look good while doing it.”
The 42-looks, made up of tops, pants, jackets and outerwear will go on sale in September, just in time for the Season Four premiere we’re sure. Prices will range from $49 to $249, much easier on the pockets than the designer duds Popeheads obsess over on the show.
Ecru pants, greige blazers and white hats for everyone!
