— Former 2008 Republican vice presidential candidate Sarah Palin in a recent interview with the Hollywood Reporter. Palin, whose successful  Sportsman Channel show “Amazing America with Sarah Palin” was just picked up for a second season, said she would bring her “own real-life groundedness, candor and commonsense” to a political talk show.

Barbara Walters, “The View’s” executive producer, retired from the show’s hot topics table in May. Earlier this month, two more departures were announced: co-hosts Sherri Shepherd and Jenny McCarthy won’t be returning for season 18. So does Palin have a shot?
