Bidens and other VIPs wait out the rain at Fiola Mare in Georgetown

Hey isn’t that … Vice President Biden and his wife,  Jill Biden, having a date night at the newest “it” spot, Fiola Mare, in Georgetown? The second couple had a front-row seat for the D.C. downpour Tuesday night from their table at the Italian seafood restaurant.

They sat at a table tucked in the back corner of the bustling restaurant’s sun porch with scenic views of the Potomac River and the Kennedy Center. How romantic! They waited out the storm with dinner and checked out the open kitchen before using a break in the rain to make a casual exit, walking hand-in-hand to a waiting car.

It was a VIP kind of night at the newest “place to be seen” in Washington: Sen. Mark Warner (D-Va.) and Michael Jordan’s former agent, David Falk, were also spotted inside the Venetian-inspired restaurant.

Fiola Mare opened in February, and D.C. VIPs can’t seem to get enough of the waterfront eatery. Diners have included first lady Michelle Obama, Aerosmith frontman Steven Tyler and former 007 actor Pierce Brosnan, who dropped by the restaurant a couple of times while in town last week.
