Lionel Richie celebrated his 65th birthday at Cafe Milano

Hey isn’t that… Lionel Richie and family celebrating the “Dancing on the Ceiling” singer’s 65th birthday at Cafe Milano on Sunday night? A tipster tells us that Richie, dressed in all black and looking “freaking fantastic,” arrived with a party of eight at around 8:30 p.m.

“He was the first person to walk through the door,” says our source, adding that the two-time Grammy winner “held court” at his favorite Washington resto for several hours. Fans inside Milano immediately recognized Richie, who was more than happy to chat and snap photos.

Also in the house on Sunday night? BET founder Bob Johnson, Washington Kastles owner Mark Ein and Fox News White House Correspondent Ed Henry, who was celebrating his big 4-3. So here’s a new fun fact: Henry and Richie are birthday twins.

“It was definitely kind of a star studded Sunday night for us,” a Cafe Milano rep tells the Reliable Source, adding that the scene was “just business as usual.” Richie, says the restaurant’s rep, stops by a few times a year. “He has a carte blanche invitation whenever he’s in town.”

Richie’s “All The Hits All Night Long” tour, featuring special guest CeeLo Green (keep your eyes peeled for the former “The Voice” coach), is making a two-night stop at Wolf Trap on Monday and Tuesday.
