In the post, she discussed her movie dad’s incredible improvisation skills [he ad-libbed the famous “impression of a hot dog” scene  in “Doubtfire"] and described him as someone who was “quick and prolific” and “would do anything to make me and the other kids laugh.”

Foo Fighter frontman Dave Grohl and wife Jordyn Blum quietly welcomed their third child, a baby girl named Ophelia Saint Grohl, on August 1. Grohl’s rep confirmed the news to People Magazine on Aug. 20. The couple’s new daughter joins big sisters, Violet Maye, 8, and Harper Willow, 5.

The happy news came at a difficult time for the couple. Five days after Ophelia’s birth, Grohl’s father, James, died at age 75 after a battle with cancer.

On Aug. 8th, the birth was first publicly announced via a post on the Facebook page of the David Grohl Alley Scholarship Program (a non-profit run by Grohl). “Bittersweet news – congratulations David Grohl and Jordyn Blum who have welcomed a new baby girl #3 Ophelia Grohl!” the Facebook post stated. “The Lord giveth and the Lord taketh away!!”
