This has not been an easy week for Elizabeth Vargas. On Sunday, it was announced the “20/20” co-anchor and ABC News correspondent would return to rehab to seek treatment for alcohol addiction. Now, according to People Magazine and E! News, she and her “Walking in Memphis” singer-songwriter husband, Marc Cohn, have separated and will be filing for a divorce after 12 years of marriage.
Mrs. Doubtfire star pens tribute to Robin Williams
Child star Mara Wilson, who played Robin Williams’ youngest on-screen daughter in “Mrs. Doubtfire,” penned a lengthy, thoughtful tribute to the late comedic actor in a post on her personal blog.
“Robin Williams, as I knew him, was warm, gentle, expressive, nurturing, and brilliant,” wrote Wilson. “He was a creator as much as a performer.”
In the post, she discussed her movie dad’s incredible improvisation skills [he ad-libbed the famous “impression of a hot dog” scene in “Doubtfire"] and described him as someone who was “quick and prolific” and “would do anything to make me and the other kids laugh.”
Rapper Chris Brown and model Karrueche Tran back together again?
It appears on-again and off-again couple Chris Brown and Karrueche Tran are back on again, at least according to Brown’s Instagram page. In a virtual display of affection, the “Forever” singer posted a photo of the 26-year old model as his “WCW,” or “Woman Crush Wednesday.”
Carson Daly and Dave Grohl both welcome baby girls
“The Voice” and “Today” show host Carson Daly and fiancée Siri Pinter welcomed their third child, a baby girl named London Rose Daly, on Wednesday. The “Today” show announced London’s arrival via their Twitter page and Daly FaceTimed the morning crew during Thursday’s broadcast.
“Siri is a warrior and I’m so amazed by her poise, grace and strength during this miraculous process,” Daly, 41, told “Today.” The former MTV veejay and Pinter are also parents to Jackson James, 5, and Etta Jones, 23 months.
Foo Fighter frontman Dave Grohl and wife Jordyn Blum quietly welcomed their third child, a baby girl named Ophelia Saint Grohl, on August 1. Grohl’s rep confirmed the news to People Magazine on Aug. 20. The couple’s new daughter joins big sisters, Violet Maye, 8, and Harper Willow, 5.
The happy news came at a difficult time for the couple. Five days after Ophelia’s birth, Grohl’s father, James, died at age 75 after a battle with cancer.
On Aug. 8th, the birth was first publicly announced via a post on the Facebook page of the David Grohl Alley Scholarship Program (a non-profit run by Grohl). “Bittersweet news – congratulations David Grohl and Jordyn Blum who have welcomed a new baby girl #3 Ophelia Grohl!” the Facebook post stated. “The Lord giveth and the Lord taketh away!!”
