For Dems reeling from Tuesday’s elections, the traditional blame game begins. But they’ve been there and done that before.
For this week’s Throwback Thursday, we dug up a vintage Reliable Source column (circa 1995) in which then-first lady Hillary Clinton shouldered at least some of the blame for the electoral bloodbath over a lunch of tomato-shrimp soup with a group of journos. “I regret very much the efforts on healthcare reform were badly misunderstood … and then used politically against the Democrats. So I take responsibility for that and I am very sorry about that,” Clinton said.
