“They’ll do some deep digging,” explained Julia Cheiffetz, executive editor of the HarperCollins imprint Dey Street Books, which will publish the biography this fall. Cheiffetz, a feminist and big fan of Ginsburg (“I’m obsessed”) made sure to point out that the project is not a so-called “blog to book.”
So expect details on Ginsburg’s court life, a highlight reel of her pivotal opinions and fun facts about how many push-ups she can do (Hint: 20).
It’s still unclear whether Ginsburg can make time in her packed sched to have a sit-down with co-writers Knizhnik and Carmon. A request for comment was not immediately returned by the U.S. Supreme Court’s press office.
Cheiffetz said there was definitely room in the increasingly crowded publishing market for a book like this one.
“I just couldn’t believe that no one else had done it,” Cheiffetz said.
