The animal most associated with Secretary of State John Kerry might be a donkey (sorry, Ben). But the dyed-in-the-wool Dem spent a little time this weekend hanging out with the GOP mascot.
The official reason: Kerry was touring the Nairobi National Park and the Sheldrick Elephant Orphanage in Kenya on Sunday to learn about wildlife conservation efforts in advance of a series of government meetings Monday. The unofficial explanation: The picture is enough to elicit a “squee” from even the coldest of hearts.
