The longest-serving member of the House, Rep. John Conyers, and his wife, Monica Conyers, are divorcing.

Court documents show that Monica Conyers, 50, sought the split earlier this month, citing a “breakdown” in the marriage, and her husband did not contest the filing, according to the Detroit Free Press.

The Michigan Democrat, 86, has been in Congress since 1965. Monica Conyers is a former Detroit council woman who spent more than two years in federal prison for bribery. They were married in 1990.
