On a whim last week, 22-year-old comedian Elijah Daniel decided to become a purveyor of political erotica: “I’m going to get drunk tonight and write an entire donald trump sex novel like 50 shades of grey & put it on amazon tomorrow i swear to god,” he tweeted.

Four hours later “Trump Temptation: The Billionaire & The Bellboy,” a 10-page novella, was born. Since arriving on Amazon.com on Thursday, the tale has climbed to No. 1 on the humorous gay erotica charts. (Amazon chief executive Jeffrey P. Bezos owns The Washington Post.)

“I think it went so viral just because the absurdity of it,” explained Daniel. “My followers are used to me doing stupid things. But I’m definitely surprised at how big it got.”

And here’s exactly how big: In less than a week, Daniel, a social media star and actor, has created and sold two television projects to a production company in Los Angeles. The team already has meetings with big networks lined up for “Elijah Daniel is Insane,” an educational docu-series that follows the 22-year-old doing “crazy things,” and “Social,” a scripted series starring Daniel as a small-town transplant trying to make it in la la land.

“It’s crazy,” repeated Daniel, who said he closed both deals solely “off just the buzz the book.”

Nearly 95 percent of the readers of “Trump Temptation” gave the story of a small-town bellboy’s frantic obsession with the Republican presidential front-runner a 5-star rating — and it isn’t hard to see why. The story is completely ridiculous, of course. But Daniel’s writing, which includes every orange metaphor under the sun, is keenly aware of each punchline — never taking itself too seriously (how could it?) yet somehow remaining loyal to the erotic fan fiction genre (E.L. James could take notes).

Not bad for a first time author who had never read erotica before diving drunkenly (lots of alcohol was involved) into the genre.

“I guess I’m just really good at sexing,” said Daniel, who described his literary style as  “a more absurd version of ’50 Shades of Grey.'”

No word on if the real Donald Trump has read Daniel’s ode to him just yet. But a fake Donald (created by Daniel himself) on social media, unsurprisingly, is not amused.

“DISGUSTING LOSER!!!!! I hope he has a good lawyer, I know I do,” the parody Trump tweeted in a tone that expertly mirrored the actual candidate’s Twitter persona.

Here are some of the punchlines we assume Trump is super mad about.

And lest you thought we revealed too much of the plot. Not so. The story ends (or does it?) with a physical twist that will surely have its fans (“My imagination is still tingling,” read one glowing Amazon review) calling for more. A second installment is on its way as we speak.

Daniel, who has nearly 98,000 Twitter followers, told us “if people really want it, I’ll probably do it just for fun.”

But first the audio book, which is currently being recorded in New York by sometime Trump impersonator Chris Ferretti, who Daniel found on Twitter and who, for $45 “will whoever you want as Donald Trump and say Happy Birthday or whatever [you] want.”
