Fox News Channel chief White House correspondent Ed Henry is taking an unspecified leave to deal with “personal issues,” a Fox spokesperson says. The announcement came just after a tabloid reported that the 44-year-old married newsman was having an affair with a Las Vegas hostess.

“We recently became aware of Ed’s personal issues and he’s taking some time off to work things out,” a Fox News spokesperson said in an emailed statement.

In Touch magazine reported Wednesday morning that Henry began the 10-month affair in spring 2015.

Henry is married to NPR Deputy Washington Editor Shirley Hung. The couple married in 2010, and he has two children from a previous marriage.
