Bristol Palin and Dakota Meyer are married

This from “Entertainment Tonight,” which has become the go-to news source for all things leaked from Camp Palin: Bristol Palin, the 25 year-old daughter of former Alaska governor Sarah Palin, finally got hitched to her on-then-off fiance, Dakota Meyer, 27.

Just over a year ago, the young couple was expecting a daughter together and was set to walk down the aisle, but the wedding was abruptly called off. Fast forward — through the birth of now-5-month-old Sailor Grace, along with plenty of tabloid reports of custody drama and then rumors of a reunion —  to Wednesday, when the pair showed off their wedding bands and happy smiles.  The eldest Palin’s daughter’s love life has attracted outside attention ever since her mother’s failed vice presidential bid catapulted her family into the spotlight eight years ago.

It’s a second marriage for Meyer, a former Marine and Medal of Honor awardee. Bristol Palin has a 7-year-old son with former fiance Levi Johnston.

ET doesn’t say when the vows took place, but the happy couple had a inspirational-poster-worthy statement at the ready: “Life is full of ups and downs but in the end, you’ll end up where you’re supposed to be,” they said.
