President Obama shared his vacation vibes Thursday by releasing his annual playlist of jams that have presumably been on heavy rotation around the executive mansion lately.

Surprisingly, it didn’t include a single Beyoncé track — a shocker, since Queen B is a close pal of the Obamas and has turned up at the White House for all kinds of events, from the Easter egg roll to the president’s recent 55th birthday party. But Beyoncé’s husband, Jay Z, made the cut: His “So Ambitious” (with Pharrell) is on the providentially approved list of “daytime” tunes.

Other artists whose songs appear on the playlist have also been guests of the Obamas, including state dinner attendees and performers Jannelle Monae, Common, Mary J. Blige and Sara Bareilles. But some playlist performers are ones we couldn’t imagine rubbing shoulders with heads of state (sorry, Wale).
