Meghan McCain, the senator’s daughter who managed to turn an early blog into a sustainable career (take notes kids), has landed another gig in the entertainment biz.

Fox News announced today that the 32-year-old is now a permanent co-host of “Outnumbered,” the cable network’s answer to ABC’s “The View.” McCain joins co-hosts Harris Faulkner and Sandra Smith on the couch immediately.

“I’m grateful for the opportunity to share my unique perspective with viewers on a now daily basis,” said McCain in a prepared statement, according to Variety. Dear old dad, Sen. John McCain (R-Ariz.), congratulated his daughter on tweeter.

Since launching her campaign blog, McCain Bloggette, during the 2008 presidential election, McCain has stretched that 15 minutes of fame into a full-blown career. She’s written a book, hosted a TV show, a radio show and was for a time rumored to be in the running for a spot on “The View.”

In an interview with the Reliable Source right before her 30th birthday, the senator’s daughter told us that  “the thing about having famous parents is that yeah, it will open some doors, but you have to like break the door down with your high heel and go into it and make it happen.”
