New York Mayor Bill de Blasio. (Mark Lennihan)

Hey, isn’t that … New York Mayor Bill de Blasio having a late-night bite near the White House on Wednesday?

De Blasio, who’s running for reelection, arrived at Georgia Brown’s about 9 p.m. last night after two security guards scoped out the Southern restaurant. The 6-foot-5 politician followed behind the men in black and sat down for a “quiet” two-hour meal with two unidentified guests.

Our tipster tells us that de Blasio had a “great time” at the restaurant (a favorite of former president Bill Clinton) and even posed for photos with his waitress. The rest of the crowd in the dining room recognized the mayor but largely left him alone. No word on why de Blasio, an outspoken opponent of many of President Trump’s policies, was in town. But the mayor did make a trip to Washington in January to raise money for his second mayoral campaign.
