Real Housewife Karen Huger is not here for critics of her outdated kitchen

By now, everyone knows that must-haves for any Real Housewife worth her title include spendy shoes, fake eyelashes and blingy interior design.

Karen Huger, one of the cast members of the reality-show franchise’s Potomac crew, is content to leave one of those boxes unchecked. In a new promo video for the show’s upcoming season, the grande dame insists she’s not — NOT — about to renovate the kitchen of her suburban Maryland manse. That’s despite plenty of viewers who have raised an eyebrow over its outdated appliances and ’90s-time-capsule cabinets.

Huger was even asked about the kitchen during a sit-down recap of the show’s first season with Bravo impresario Andy Cohen. “Karen, if your husband is the black Bill Gates, why do the appliances and features in your kitchen not reflect your socio-economic status?” Cohen asked, reading a fan’s query.

In the new video, in which Huger leads viewers on a house tour, she clapped back, noting that the kitchen is where she cooked many family meals and is still a favorite spot for her and husband Raymond. This time, she whipped up a recipe that was one part polite with a dash of sass: “Again, I refuse to renovate but thank you for your suggestions,” she snipped.
