Divorced: Hunter Biden, the son of former vice president Joe Biden, and his wife of more than 20 years, Kathleen.

The couple’s split was finalized in a Friday court filing, TMZ reports. The couple has settled “all questions relating to custody, support, property rights, and all other rights,” according to the documents, though the terms were not disclosed.

The couple’s divorce raised eyebrows after the Biden family publicly acknowledged that Hunter was dating Hallie Biden, the widow of his late brother, Beau Biden, who died of brain cancer in May 2015.

Hunter and Kathleen’s divorce began on a contentious note, but in a recent filing in D.C. Superior Court, the estranged couple, who have three children together, decided to keep things publicly amicable. “Both parties acknowledge the valuable contributions that each has made to their marriage and are committed to closing this chapter of their relationship in a dignified, respectful, and family-focused manner,” they wrote in a joint consent motion.
