*The final three matches on the U.S. women’s national team’s 10-game gold medal tour are set, and all feature China as the opponent:

Dec. 8 at Ford Field in Detroit

Dec. 12 at BBVA Compass Stadium in Houston

Dec. 15 at Florida Atlantic University in Boca Raton, Fla.

So here’s how the USSF spread the matches this fall: western New York, southern California, Colorado, Illinois, Connecticut, Oregon, Arizona, Michigan, Texas, Florida.

*Another women’s schedule is set: the NCAA tournament. The top seeds in the 64-team event are Brigham Young, Florida State, Penn State and Stanford. The College Cup is Nov. 30-Dec. 2 in San Diego.

*The ACC men’s tournament begins in earnest tonight with four quarterfinals, including top-seeded Maryland hosting No. 9 Virginia Tech, which came from two goals down Monday to defeat eighth-seeded North Carolina State, 3-2. The Duke-North Carolina and Boston College-Clemson matches are available on ESPN3.com. Maryland SoccerPlex will host the semis and final this weekend.
