Saturday kickaround

Open practices at RFK Stadium today:

Germany at 11:30 a.m.

United States at 3 p.m.

Gates open a half-hour early for each session. Parking and admission are free.

*My online/print story: Jozy Altidore’s goals are to score for both club and country.

*CONCACAF released the 35-man preliminary rosters for each team competing in the Gold Cup in July. Three D.C. United players are on Canada’s list. A University of Maryland freshman was chosen by Haiti. And Oguchi Onyewu, Carlos Bocanegra and Landon Donovan — all passed over for the approaching World Cup qualifiers — were named by the USSF. Teams will have to trim their rosters to 23 before the tournament begins but, under a new rule for this event, have the flexibility to make four changes after the group stage.

*Four days before visiting Jamaica for a World Cup qualifier, Mexico played its sixth consecutive draw Friday: a 2-2 outcome with Nigeria in front of 62,107 at Reliant Stadium in Houston. Javier “Chicharito” Hernandez scored twice.
