The UEFA Champions League group stage got off to a roaring start Tuesday with 30 goals in eight matches, 18 by visiting clubs. Cristiano Ronaldo, Karim Benzema, Wayne Rooney, Thiago Motta and Alex Teixeira combined for 11.

Ronaldo led the way with a hat trick over the last 30 minutes in Real Madrid’s 6-1 demolition at Galatasaray.
