Australian forward Tim Cahill of the New York Red Bulls scored the fastest goal in MLS history, striking eight seconds into the 3-0 victory over the Houston Dynamo at BBVA Compass Stadium. The previous mark: 11 seconds by Dwayne De Rosario for the San Jose Earthquakes against Dallas in 2003.
