World Cup 2014: Times, TV and preview for Argentina vs. Bosnia and Sunday’s other games

The World Cup continues Sunday with three group-stage games (all times EDT):

— Group E: Switzerland vs. Ecuador in Brasilia, noon (ABC)

— Group E: France vs. Honduras in Porto Alegre, 3 p.m. (ABC)

— Group D: Argentina vs. Bosnia in Rio de Janeiro, 6 p.m. (ESPN)

Argentina vs. Bosnia

Rio de Janeiro’s famed Maracana stadium faces an invasion from neighbor and rival Argentina, whose fans were already getting rowdy on Copacabana beach on Saturday. Argentina, with a surplus of attacking options, is a big favorite in Group F. But its defense could be tested by World Cup debutant Bosnia, which scored 30 goals in just 10 qualifying matches.

The star forward takes on increased responsibility in a relatively inexperienced lineup in the absence of captain Franck Ribery, who was ruled out of the World Cup with a back injury. The first test comes against Honduras, a huge underdog but an opponent that comes with a reputation for bruising play — Coach Luis Suarez has faced accusations that his team plays dirty.
