President Obama has been following this World Cup all along, and took in the USA-Belgium game on Tuesday with White House staffers.

After the Americans’ loss, Obama took time out to call Tim Howard and Clint Dempsey. “You guys did us proud,” Obama said. “To see the way you guys captured the hearts and the imaginations of the whole country is unbelievable.”
