The Georgetown men’s basketball team is set to play six games that will tip off at 9 p.m., including the second game of the season at Maryland and in its Big East Conference opener Dec. 30 at DePaul, as part of its 2015-16 regular season schedule released Tuesday afternoon.

Entering their third season in the rebooted Big East following an appearance in the second round of the NCAA tournament, the Hoyas (22-11) will face a pair of former longtime rivals from the original incarnation of the conference in Syracuse Dec. 5 at Verizon Center and Connecticut on the road Jan. 23.

A highly anticipated showdown with the Terrapins comes Nov. 17 at Xfinity Center. The game is part of the first Gavitt Cup matching teams from the Big East and Big Ten conferences. It will be the first non-tournament regular season game between the schools since 1993.

Georgetown will make the first of several trips to Madison Square Garden when it faces Wisconsin on Nov. 20 in the semifinals of the 2K Classic. The Badgers were the national championship game runners-up last season. The Hoyas will face either Duke or Virginia Commonwealth in their final game of the 2K Classic.

Their first Big East home game will take place Jan. 2 against Marquette. Georgetown has its longest conference home stand of the season with games against Seton Hall on Feb. 17, Xavier on Feb. 20 and Butler on Feb. 27. The Hoyas’ final two games of the regular season are at Marquette on March 1 and at Villanova on March 5.

Georgetown will opens the season Nov. 14 against Radford at Verizon Center in the regional round of the 2K Classic. The Hoyas’ other 2K Classic regional round game is Nov. 28 against Bryant at Verizon Center.
